Ben’s Best Bite of the Week – Saffron Grill Take-Out

The tasting menu was incredible, a treat worthy of cloth napkins in the dining room. We tried to put the brakes on so that Ben would not consume the entire four course menu in one gulp. We enforced our general dessert policy for Ben, which is to bathe before having dessert. (Don’t judge us for the use of this lever. Sometimes dessert is the only defense against filth and squalor. The astute reader will note Ben’s frequent wardrobe changes. It is getting harder and harder to tell his day T-shirts from his pajama T-shirts.) Ben was delighted with his cannoli, which he reported to be “similar to a chocolate egg roll.” When I expressed surprise that he didn’t choose the chocolate mousse cake, like I did, he said, “I don’t think so. Too much moose in it.”
