If lovin’ you is wrong, we don’t want to be right. Years ago, Ben discovered the Pancho Villa here. It is an enormous T-bone steak smothered in bacon, cheese and mushrooms, with beans, rice and tortillas on the side. He talks about it so much that tonight I felt I needed to order it too. Not sorry. Really, the only down side is that Ben is not proficient at meat cutting. His technique, as I believe the photographic evidence will bear out, is to ask the adult sitting next to him to cut it. Unless we want to subject all patrons to a view of Ben eating a T-bone with his bare hands, we cut the meat. We know how to pick our battles.
I feel that the time has come to disclose our restaurant leftover policy. The protocol is to write your name on your box, with a pen if you have one, or a fork if you don’t. This safeguards your food from marauding family members for 24 hours. After that, all bets are off.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post, when we tell you all you ever wanted to know about Ben’s most anticipated meal of the year, Thanksgiving.
This blog makes me so homesick for the Sprunger-Yoder family. My eyes tear up every time I read this blog. Allergies perhaps? Nah..
Love you and miss you all.
Oh, how we miss you here! Whenever one of us brings your family up in conversation, we all smile, laugh and reminisce. Please know that there is always a room and a meal for you here any time you want to visit!
This is so perfect! Captures your wonderful family to a “T.” See what I did there? ?
When the “steaks” are high, we don’t mess around!
Haha!
