I’m sorry, sausage. You’ve been chopped. Despite voting irregularities (entries being sent to my junk mail) we can assure you that the one vote margin reflects the strong will of the people to elevate chicken to the top position.
With this basket, Ben and I decided to do a chicken pot pie with a jicama, carrot, apple salad. The pot pie was comforting and delicious, while the jicama salad added a crisp, healthy snap to the meal. Ben and I feel very free to modify as tastes and ingredient availability dictate.
For the pot pie, we did a modified, skillet version of this:

For the salad, we modified this:

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s meal, which will use the runner up basket ingredients: sausage, cucumbers and honey roasted peanuts. Plus – we will be rolling out a new version of readers picking our ingredients!
Hi Ben. Loved reading your reviews here. Would love to follow you on a regular basis. I miss you in class. Glad to see you are doing well.
Hi Mr. Lundy! We are happy you are reading this! I think there is a way on the blog to get email notification when a new post is made, but now that we are FB friends, you can keep up that way, too. Ben says, “Keep reading!”
