Summer has come and gone. Since a vacation was not in the cards this year, we have tried to take advantage of sunny weekend mornings by exploring the hills, valleys, and forests of the area in Phil’s ’65 Triumph Vitesse. I wouldn’t exactly characterize us as convertible people – rather as quirky, affordable, vintage British roadster people. The clear bonus is that with right hand steering, when Ben sits in the passenger seat, he appears to be driving, and it freaks everyone out. These days, we love any chance to get out of the house while social distancing.
This week, we took to the road with a picnic at Ravensburg State Park. So, what do quirky, vintage British roadster people pack for a picnic lunch? Kippers? Bangers and mash? Steak and kidney pie? We don’t know, but we had chilled carrot soup, BLTs, chips, Oreos, and lemonade. Jolly good.
