We love the Saffron Grill, and while getting carry out to eat at home isn’t quite the same as having people wait on you, we tried to emulate the full Saffron Grill experience by eating in the dining room by candlelight with cloth napkins, and by asking Alexa to play Parisian cafe music.
We started by sharing a salad and appetizers. Clockwise from the bread at high noon, we had: octopus salad with arugula, poached potatoes, cherry tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, and a Dijon vinaigrette; burrata with portobello, roasted tomatoes, asparagus and truffle balsamic reduction; Caesar salad with raisins, almonds and Romano cheese.Ben loved the grilled ribeye with duck fat crispy potatoes, white wine and honey glazed rainbow carrots, and sauce bordelaise.I ordered the beef short ribs with sweet potatoes and plum mostarda. It was amazing, and unlike Ben, I saved some for tomorrow.Sophia reports that the shrimp and lump crab meat ravioli n a pink vodka sauce was delicious.Phil went with the seafood stew with shrimp, calamari, clams and scallops, and said it was delicious. This is one satisfied customer!
