As predicted, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. In fact, we were so busy loving life that we forgot to document most of what makes the 48 hours that we are all together so much fun.
Not pictured: Ben waiting Wednesday morning for four hours outside Sophia’s door for her to wake up, because he has missed her so much.
Not pictured: The meal itself.
Not pictured: Ben’s culinary contribution of ginger ale and cranberry juice.
Not pictured: A wonderful original music performance by our nephew and his girlfriend.
Not pictured: The improvised “beds” tucked all over the house to sleep a dozen.
Not pictured: The traditional turkey carcass soup Friday noon, that everybody agrees needs to be renamed, but gobbles up nonetheless.
Not pictured: The joy of old jokes revived and traditions honored.

Thanks, Phil and Liz, for hosting another memorable Thanksgiving house party!
It was our pleasure!
Absolutely LOVED this!!! Even though I’m not a part of the ‘fam’, this blog is so vivid that it comes to life and it makes me feel like I am- I can envision all the fun and festivities around the house just like I remember my own family gatherings way back when… Save me a piece of that Pumpkin Pie-I don’t care HOW old it is!!!! YUMMMM! ; )
Thanks for reading, Kim! We always have a great time, with plenty of food, fun and conversation. As Ben likes to say, “Let’s make a party!”
